I've just learned from this blog that Games Design Workshop is making a CGI movie of their Warhammer 40k Ultramarines. Horay! There was a similiar thing done with the Resident Evil franchise entitled Resident Evil: Degeneration. I thought it was pretty good. Every now and then while I was watching it I got so involved in it I momentarily forgot the characters were computer generated. If this is what they will do for the Emperor's Space Marines, it should be a terrific movie.
I guess what with the advent of Machinima, the age of the synthespian is upon us. Human actors may become as passe' as the silent movies. And then the new standard for what a human body should look like will become something that doesn't even exist in nature. But we are just about there anyway, no?
